In recent years, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has begun construction on the Saadiyat Cultural District, an ambitious project that will celebrate the cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region as a whole. In addition to prominent museums such as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Saadiyat Cultural District will play host to the Performing Arts Centre. An integral part of the second phase of the district’s development, the Performing Arts Centre will serve as a home for a wide variety of artistic expression.
